The research question

How is lower-limb function recovering after surgery, and which mobility or muscle-control deficits remain?

A configurable rehabilitation pathway for lower-limb surgery when a dedicated TKA, THA or ACL protocol is not the best fit. Tasks are individualized to procedure, healing phase and medical restrictions.

ParticipantsPeople recovering from lower-limb surgery under orthopedic/rehabilitation care.
Minimum sampleIndividual clinical assessment: N = 1. Research cohorts: sample size defined by the study design.
DurationRepeated assessments according to procedure and healing phase.

Technology configuration

Measurement follows the task

The technology path shown here is the approved structure for this service. The exact protocol is configured around the research question, environment and participant flow.

01 · CoreIMU

ROM, gait, symmetry, balance and functional movement.

02 · OptionalEMG

Activation, timing and fatigue when relevant.

03 · OptionalVR

Rehabilitation support where appropriate.

Typical protocol · Health

How this study is executed.

The protocol below reflects the service definition developed for Neuro Garage. Final details are confirmed before execution.

01

Confirm procedure, weight-bearing status and medical restrictions.

02

Establish safe movement baseline.

03

Progress through ROM, gait, balance and functional tasks as allowed.

04

Add EMG when relevant.

05

Repeat measures throughout rehabilitation.

Decisions supported

What the client can change with the evidence

The study is designed to translate observed behavior into concrete operational, people, design or risk-management decisions.

01Individualize rehabilitation
02Track recovery
03Guide safe task progression
04Identify persistent deficits
Scientific configuration

The method follows the question

Technology is selected because it is scientifically appropriate for the research objective, not because a device must be used. Santiago configures the study scope, stimuli, participant flow and measurement path before execution.
