Reading Comprehension Assessment
How deeply does the student understand what they read, how much cognitive effort does it require, and how efficiently do they move through the text?

Reading Comprehension Assessment measures reading-comprehension depth, cognitive effort and reading speed through objective eye-tracking behavior. Analysis can be performed at word, phrase, sentence and section level, connecting fixation, saccade, regression, rereading and pupil patterns with the structure of the text. Persistent atypical reading patterns can generate a non-diagnostic alert for a separate specialist follow-up study.
Measurement follows the task
The technology path shown here is the approved structure for this service. The exact protocol is configured around the research question, environment and participant flow.
Includes gaze metrics and pupillometry during reading.
How this study is executed.
The protocol below reflects the service definition developed for Neuro Garage. Final details are confirmed before execution.
Define participant profiles and the reading-comprehension question.
Prepare the approved expository, narrative, literary, academic or functional texts and define analysis units from words through full sections.
Record gaze behavior and pupil dynamics while each participant reads naturally.
Analyze fixation duration / count, saccades, regressions, rereading, time on text and processing patterns by text unit.
Integrate the evidence into comprehension depth, cognitive effort and reading-speed outputs; flag persistent atypical patterns only as a non-diagnostic indication for deeper specialist research.
